Big community.
Small-town heart.
Good things happen in Ceres every day. Finding them should be easy.
Ceres Community is a local directory and shared calendar for Ceres and the Witzenberg valley. It gives the small contractor, the home-based nail technician, the domestic worker, the school, and the community club a place to be found.
Find a little local.
Search names, services, skills, and keywords. Many common Afrikaans search words work too.
Make a little plan.
Browse January to December for markets, visiting specialists, school sport, classes, and community occasions.
Share something good.
Create your own listings, keep them current, and help your neighbours discover what is close to home.
Thoughtful sharing, useful information.
Submissions are reviewed before publication. Moderation helps organise information, but it does not certify businesses, professionals, job offers, or the accuracy of every detail. Always confirm arrangements directly with the provider.
About this local preview
When local demonstration mode is selected without cloud credentials, the app displays clearly marked fictional sample listings. Dates, businesses, organisations, venues, and map pins in those examples are for testing. Contact details are deliberately omitted.
The local preview account stores your test submissions and image files in this browser using IndexedDB. Saved listings also stay in this browser. They do not synchronise to another device or to a cloud database. Clearing browser data removes them. With the cloud configuration connected, Firebase provides sign-in and Supabase stores shared listings and photos. The app then stops showing sample data.
Keep Ceres in your pocket.
Download the Android app or add Ceres Community to your iPhone Home Screen through Safari. Use the existing Install the app option in the menu, or visit our download page for step-by-step instructions. Your community, listings and account stay together at the same website.
